Job/Project Title : Application Support Technician

Summary of Job description:
This is a contract to perm position

Possess the ability to provide courteous and efficient telephone and personal support for internal and external application users. Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing), works under general or minimal supervision.

Expected to receive, prioritize and respond to multiple escalated incidents. Obligated to solve problems and investigate/resolve a wide variety of issues and complex requests that include gathering supporting information. Route, maintain and track outstanding service requests, communicate expectations and provide thorough follow up. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others; analyze situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action. Accountable for the successful resolution of all requests adhering to established service level agreements. Expected to become subject matter expert and may be asked to train staff members on assigned products.

Skills Set required:
1)Solid knowledge of Windows 2000 and Windows XP OS and diagnosis tools; (Windows 95/98 is also a plus).
2)Possess a firm understanding of WEB server software including IIS;
3)considerable experience with SQL Server and Microsoft application suite.
4)Must have least 2-5 years of technical support or systems engineer experience;
5)be proficient in soft skill techniques of inquiring and confirming problem scenarios; knowledgeable in utilizing Solution/Knowledge based systems; possess a since of urgency to consistently maintain excellent quality service.
